Why choose carbide valve internals

Valve internals usually refer to the valve flap, seat and stem, but in some cases it also includes other parts such as bushings, bolts and nuts. For most types of valves, the common terminology is to call it a shut-off part. However, there are exceptions, such as for plug valves, the closing member is called the plug. The sealing surface of the valve mainly refers to the contact surface of the valve flap and the valve seat.

If the valve class is high temperature valves, ultra-high pressure valves, high pressure, ultra-high pressure valves, high temperature, low temperature valves can be used carbide valve parts. Like Monel alloy material is more suitable for nuclear valves, ceramic material is suitable for ball valves or plug valves, stainless steel try for medium and high pressure valves, rubber is suitable for globe valves, diaphragm valves, butterfly valves, check valves and so on.

Cemented carbide valve flap and cemented carbide valve seat, cemented carbide material characteristics, so that the sealing surface has a high wear resistance and anti-scuffing ability, especially in the medium temperature and dry occasions. Of course the carbide raw material ratios are not the same and the final characteristics will vary, so it is still necessary to have more working temperature and media in use to determine the metal type of the carbide valve internals.
