A successful hot runner mold application project needs to be guaranteed by multiple links. Two of the most important are technical factors. One is the control of plastic temperature, and the other is the control of plastic flow.
1. Plastic temperature control
Plastic temperature control is extremely important in hot runner mold applications. Processing and product quality that appear in many production processes
The problem directly stems from the poor temperature control of the hot runner system. Such as the problem of poor quality of the gate of the product during injection molding using the hot pin gate method, the difficulty of closing the valve pin during the molding of the valve gate method, the problem of inconsistent filling time and quality of parts in the multi-cavity mold. If possible, you should try to choose a hot runner system with separate temperature control in multiple areas to increase flexibility and adaptability.
2. Control of plastic flow
Plastics must flow balanced in the hot runner system. The gate should be opened at the same time to allow the plastic to simultaneously fill each cavity. For FAMILY MOLD, where the weight of the parts differ greatly, the design of the runner size should be balanced. Otherwise, there will be problems that some parts are not filled enough, but some parts are overfilled, and the flash is too large and poor quality. The size design of hot runner runner should be reasonable. The size is too small and the pressure loss of the mold is too large. If the size is too large, the volume of the hot runner is too large, and the residence time of the plastic in the hot runner system is too long, which may damage the performance of the material and cause the parts to fail to meet the requirements after molding.
