Carburized plastic mold steel is mainly used for cold extrusion plastic molds. In order to facilitate cold extrusion, this type of steel must have high plasticity and low deformation resistance in the annealed state. Therefore, low or ultra-low carbon content is required for this type of steel. In order to improve the wear resistance of the die, This type of steel is generally carburized and quenched and tempered after cold extrusion, and the surface hardness can reach 58-62HRC. This kind of steel has special steel grades abroad, such as 8416 in Sweden and P2 and P4 in the United States. Domestically, industrial pure iron (such as DT1 and DT2), 20, 20Cr, 12CrNi3A and 12Cr2Ni4A steels are often used, as well as the newly developed domestic cold forming special steel 0Cr4NiMoV.

Our products also include CNC Turning. CNC lathes are also known as CNC lathes, namely computer numerically controlled lathes, which are the most widely used and widely used CNC machine tools in China; and CNC Milling, which is a processing technology. Use a rotating tool to remove the excess part of the material block until the desired customized shape is formed; there is also Electrical Discharge Machining, which refers to the electrical erosion of the workpiece through the pulse discharge between the tool electrode and the workpiece electrode in a certain medium. The method of processing; there is also Hard Turning, which refers to the turning of hardened steel as a process method for final machining or finishing, to avoid the commonly used grinding technology; and Wire EDM Components, which belong to the category of electrical machining. The so-called pre-hardened steel means that the heat treatment has been carried out in advance when it is supplied, and it is made to reach the hardness of the mold in use. The characteristic of this type of steel is that it can be directly processed such as forming turning, drilling, milling, engraving, and fine filing under the condition of hardness of 30-40HRC. After finishing, it can be directly delivered for use, which completely avoids the influence of heat treatment deformation. , so as to ensure the manufacturing accuracy of the mold.
Mold Components
Most of the pre-hardened plastic mold steels developed in my country in recent years are based on medium carbon steel, and are made of alloying elements such as chromium, manganese, nickel, molybdenum, and vanadium. In order to solve the problem of difficult cutting under higher hardness, the free-cutting pre-hardened steel is obtained by adding elements such as sulfur, calcium, lead, selenium, etc. to the steel to improve the cutting performance. Some pre-hardened steels can be nitrided after the mold is processed and formed, which can significantly improve the surface hardness and wear resistance of the mold without reducing the hardness of the matrix.
Mold Components
Commonly used hardened plastic mold steels are: carbon tool steel (such as T7A, T8A), low alloy cold work die steel (such as 9SiCr, 9Mn2V, CrWMn, GCr15, 7CrSiMnMoV steel), Cr12 steel (such as Cr12MoV steel), high-speed steel Steel (such as W6Mo5Cr4V2 steel), matrix steel and some hot work die steel, etc. The final heat treatment of these steels is generally quenching and low temperature tempering (a few use medium temperature tempering or high temperature tempering), and the hardness after heat treatment is usually above 45-50HRC.
Mold Components
Carbon tool steel is only suitable for manufacturing plastic molds with small size, small force, simple shape and low deformation requirements. Low alloy cold work mold steel is mainly used to manufacture plastics with large size, complex shape and high precision. Mold Cr12 steel is suitable for the manufacture of large, complex and precise plastic molds that require high wear resistance. W6Mo5Cr4V2 steel is suitable for the manufacture of plastic molds that require high strength and good wear resistance. Hot work mold steel is suitable for the manufacture of high toughness and certain resistance Abrasive plastic mold.
In addition, GD steel is also a hardened plastic mold steel that has been newly popularized in recent years. Because the steel has high strength and toughness, good hardenability and wear resistance, small quenching deformation and low price, using this steel to replace Cr12MoV steel or base steel to manufacture large-scale, high-wear-resistant and high-precision plastic molds not only reduces costs, but also Improve the service life of the mold.
