4.Disc or plug: A movable component that opens or closes the valve seat to control the flow of fluid or gas.

5.Seat: The sealing surface inside the valve body that the disc or plug sits on when the valve is closed.

10.Flanges: The connection points on the valve body that allow for attachment to piping or other equipment.
