DAYUE spline shafts are used in a variety of industries. There are many types of alternative shafts, such as key shafts, but splined shafts are a more convenient way of transmitting torque. Spline shafts usually have teeth spaced equidistantly around their circumference and parallel to the axis of rotation of the shaft. Two common types of tooth shape for spline shafts are the straight-sided form and the involute form.

On the other hand, internal spline teeth are usually formed using broaching or shaping. Lubrication is essential to the operation of the spline, as insufficient lubrication can lead to wear or micro-movement. Long-term micro-movement can lead to corrosion. When properly lubricated, a proper oil flow both lubricates the spline and removes particles due to micro-movement
